Which way to the 2010 Bushwhack Adventure Race that is....

This years BAR will be held on the weekend of September 18-19. We'll reveal the race Start/Finish location and open registration on Monday 7/26 at 10pm.

In the meantime we would like to whet your appetite and tweak your interest with a few clues. To start, a song, lyrics slightly adapted for the BAR10:

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Hang down your head and cry
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Poor boy, you’re bound to die

I met BAR on the mountain,
where I took my bike
Met BAR on the mountain,
nearly took my life

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Hang down your head and cry
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Poor boy, you’re bound to die

This time tomorrow,
reckon where I’ll be
Hadn’t-a been for a u-turn,
I’d-a been in Tennessee

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Hang down your head and cry
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Poor boy, you’re bound to die

This time tomorrow,
reckon where I’ll be
Down in some lonesome valley
hangin’ from a white oak tree

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Hang down your head and cry
Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Poor boy, you’re bound to die

Single track, did we mention single track? We have over 30 miles of some of the finest single track in store for the 24 hour race teams. Don has posted his description of that riding under "Field Notes" on the BAR2010 blog page: http://bushwhackar10.blogspot.com/ Whatever your riding preferences, you will certainly love lots of this riding.
