Registration is open for the 2010 Impossible Panther Adventure Race!
Those of you who have been adventure racing in NC for several years may be familiar with the IPAR from past events. This year the IPAR will be a 12-14 hour overnight sport length adventure race and it will again take place in and around the Uwharrie National Forest, near Asheboro NC. Intermediate and advanced teams can test their night nav skills and the rogaine style will make this race completely doable for new racers as well. What could be more fun than riding, paddling, and trekking with a few friends through the night to find your way to the checkpoints?
The start finish location will be different from previous Impossible Panther and Gold Nugget adventure races. Want a few more teasers to prompt you to go ahead and register for the Impossible Panther AR? Visit the race website: http://ipar10.blogspot.com/ for more sneak peaks.
Registration will be handled through the Checkpoint Tracker website: http://www.checkpointtracker.com/ and more race details can be found at the race webpage: http://ipar10.blogspot.com/

Still a few spots left for the 2010 IPAR, but only a few days left to get signed up! We have another exciting rogaine Bushwhack course in-store for all racers!
We also have a few volunteer opportunities for anyone who might be interested, including control pick-up on Sunday. We have divide the course up into a number of 1-2 hour sections that a person or group with moderate navigation skills could easily complete. And if you want a bigger workout or want to show some newbies the ropes without have the pressure of a real race, we can give you a few sections. And of course you will get to do it in the daylight! Ping me if you are interested.
Hope to see you out there! |
