Tim Yale and I and our buddy Al were riding yesterday and had just climbed a short hill. I was a bit in front when a large St. Bernard came out from the left. I was up the road a bit and didn't see what happenened next. The dog took a sharp right in front of Tim and took out his front wheel. Al who was behind Tim says Tim came to a sudden stop and flipped over the front of the bike.
Tim has some very bad injuries and is resting at Home. I know allot of you guys know Tim , he's a great friend and never hesitates to help anyone who needs it . So keep him in your thoughts and prayers . Crying or Very sad

I am so sorry to hear this. Tim is a strong rider and a very positive person, and I pray he'll make a quick and full recovery.

This is the third bad wreck caused by a dog in Wilkes this spring. A member of the ASU cycling team got hurt out near Lewis Fork church, and a guy I was riding with in Boone was very fortunate not to be seriously injured on Old 60 a few weeks ago. What will it take to get these @#%@$ dog owners to take responsibility for their pets?
