I am going up to Boone from Raleigh on Thursday the 10th and can stop by Dark Mountain to do a preride for the Burn. It is raining today and ought to be clear tomorrow. Do they close that trail for wet conditions? I am from Raleigh and there are a few trails around here that will close if the trail is even damp.
Thanks! |

The trails never technically close, but it is recommended to not ride in the mud. With that said, Dark Mountain drains the best, but will still probably be slick tomorrow depending on what time you ride. It's up to you. _________________ Double D |

| Go bust out a loop, Chris. I'll make sure DD grooms the course with an ice pick and a toothbrush if you make a mess of it. |

| Thanks! Good news on the trail not closing. But I need to bust out more than just a loop. How about this-- I'll drag one of those mats behind my bike that they use at baseball parks to groom the dirt. That way, you won't ever know that I was there. If one of you wants to ride on the mat while I pull it around, that is fine. Company on the trail is always welcome! |

| I'll ride on the mat - it would most likely be quicker than my normal 2-hour lap time! |
