To try and simplify things, and cut down on posting every week, I am going to try something different. I won't be able to ride tonight with the group, but I should be back on schedule for next Monday.
Starting next Monday 8.15, or tonight if you wish, we will plan to make the Visitors Center a meeting place for Monday night rides. The ride will leave at 6, so plan to get there early if you need to make adjustments or change. OVT and Dark Mountain, or even both, will always be options. By doing it this way, there won't be questions if there will be a ride if nothing is posted. I personally can't make every Monday, so by doing it this way, it will be a set time and place and everybody will know for future rides and know what to do. The Tuesday club road ride is this way and seems to work great.
As always, all rides are weather permitting.

Whats the normal pace on the Monday night rides? Is it a no drop ride or you just pick up the slowbies on the way back?  I wouldn’t mind joining and sometimes my girlfriend might want to join as well, but we’re not the fastest riders around. Do these rides continue when it starts to get dark earlier? We have cheap lights that work ok, but nothing super fancy. |

the pace depends each week based on who shows up. We almost always only ride as fast as the slowest rider. If we have a big group to show up, we may even put the fast riders in an "A" group, and us slower riders will ride in a "B" group. We are still meeting every Monday night at the Visitors Center so come try it out. I personally will still ride on night rides through the winter--these are the most exciting rides, in my opinion.

If anybody is planning on riding tomorrow night you might want to charge up that light and bring it for the ride back to the Visitors Center.
