Course Information
The King of the Lake series takes place along the shores of W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in the scenic foothills of Northwest North Carolina.
Time Trials: The first time trial race will take place on the Overmountain Victory Trail, racing from the W. Kerr Scott Visitor Center to Bandits Roost Campground. The second time trial will take place at Dark Mountain, utilizing the BURN 24-Hour Challenge loop. Time trial competition returns to the Overmountain Victory Trail for the third and final race of the series, with racing beginning at Bandits Roost and ending at the Visitor Center.
The Dual Slalom races will take place on the new course located at Marley's Ford Recreation Area.
The Super D races will take place on the Super D course at Dark Mountain.
"We offer special thanks to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for allowing use of their land for trail development and racing. The USACE has allotted numerous acres at W. Kerr Scott Reservoir for trail development," Adams said. Since November 2002, BMCC has led the development of more than 20 miles of singletrack at Kerr Scott.
