Local Info and Links
Traphill, N.C. is the host community for the Hurt, Pain & Agony metric century. Traphill is home to Stone Mountain State Park. The 14,000-acre park offers hiking, rock climbing and camping. Stone Mountain boasts 16 miles of trails, including the trek to the top of Stone Mountain, a 300 million-year-old granite dome that towers 600 feet above the surrounding countryside. Stone Mountain has 17 miles of trout streams teeming with rainbow, brown and brook trout. If it's a hot day, take the plunge...Stone Mountain's creeks have several gentle "sliding rocks" as well as some dramatic waterfalls definitely not suitable for sliding.
